Jeffrey A. Winningham, 54 of Bradenton, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the TideWell Hospice House in Bradenton.
Jeffrey was born on December 2, 1960 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Ernest Eugene and Jesse Mozelle (Peters) Winningham. He moved to Bradenton in December of 1991, and was employed with the Florida Department of Transportation as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor with over 23 years of service to the State of Florida.
He was also a member of the Gideon’s International of Jamestown, TN. Gideon’s International of Manatee East, and the Manatee First Baptist Church in Bradenton.
Jeffrey was predeceased in addition to his loving parents by a brother James and four infant siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Geneva Johnson Winningham of Bradenton, two sons; Specialist Jacob Eugene Winningham of Ft. Meade, MD, Staff Sgt. Christopher Wilson and his wife Nicki of Ft. Bragg, NC, two daughters; Jessie K. Winningham and Misty Wilson-Torino and her husband David all of Bradenton, brother, Jerry Winningham and his wife Colleen of Jamestown, TN, three sisters; Lois Conatser and her husband Gary, Linda Winningham, Leta Dalton and her husband Michael all of Jamestown, TN, six grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
A visitation and funeral service were held in Jamestown, TN under the direction of the Jennings Funeral Home. Interment took place at the Taylor Place Cemetery in Jamestown, TN in the family plot. A local memorial celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Manatee First Baptist Church, , 1501 7th Avenue East, Bradenton, Fl.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Gideon’s International of Manatee East in his memory.
