Jean Lorena Roberts went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2015.
She was born Jean Coburne on July 11, 1923 in Lang, Saskatchewan, Canada. Jean moved to Bradenton in 1952 and later became an American citizen. She worked as a manager for the Diana Store in downtown Bradenton and then transferred to the General Telephone Co. where she retired after 12 years as one of those lovely voices you heard when you would call for telephone repair. Jean lived and loved her life to the fullest, always surrounded by her family and friends. Jean was always involved in the ministry of her local church along with her husband Joseph. Jean is survived by her husband Joseph, sister Audrey Coburne of Toronto; her daughter Beverly Able and husband Dan of Bradenton; her son William Smith and wife Judy of Bradenton; step children Donna Roberts of Venice, Fl.; Larry Roberts Of Tampa, Fl; and Garry Lee Roberts and wife Pam of Palmetto, Fl. Jean leaves behind a legacy of 5 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Mom lived her life as an example for her children and we will always treasure that.
A service to celebrate Jean’s love for Christ will be held on Saturday June 27, 2015 at Shannon Town Chapel 1015 14th. St. West. Visitation will be at 11 A.M. followed by the service at 11:30 A.M.
