Janet Eileen Mitchell

Janet Eileen Mitchell, 81, Holmes Beach, passed away February 18, 2016.

Janet was born on April 18, 1934 in New York City, New York to the late Einar Leopold Konstantine and Ellen (Seppanen) Ertman. She was a loving wife and mother raising her children in Ramsey, NJ. Janet was a regular visitor to Holmes Beach since 1986 and moved here permanently in 2015. She attended St. Bernard Catholic Church in Holmes Beach.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Thomas Edward Mitchell, Sr. of Holmes Beach, two sons; Thomas Edward (Donna) Mitchell, Jr. of Ringwood, NJ, Michael Thomas (Allison) Mitchell of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Kathleen (George) Mitchell Fraser of Scottsdale, AZ, brother, Frans Ertman of Southbury, CT, two sisters; Eleanor Ray of Pinehurst, NC, Hedy Sharp of Southbury, CT, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many extended family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 248 S. Harbor Drive, Holmes Beach.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Salvation Army, 1204 14th St. W., Bradenton, Fl. 34205 in her memory.
