James Hillard Struck, 86, of Parrish, FL. formerly of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021.
James was born in the County of Cook in the State of Illinois to the parents of Edward and Lucille Struck on February 10, of 1935.
Jim was a kind, and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is loved by all the lives he touched, and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Kady Struck (Hutton), Children; Julie Struck, Clare and Jim (Enders), John and Jane Struck, Richard and Devin Struck, Mary and Michael (Cavalier), Joan and Ben (Ortiz), and James and Tina Struck. Grandchildren: Sarah Struck, Paul Struck, Natalie Nelson, Catherine Davis, Timothy Gawne, Rebecca Klosowski, Scott Klosowski, Jennifer Crawford, Jacklyn Struck, Connor Struck, Samantha Matyas, Amy Hunter, Matthew Struck, Seth Struck, Michael Schreyer-Miller, Frank Cavalier, Michael Cavalier, Brett Augustyn, Dylan Struck, Elliott Struck, Gwendolyn Struck, and many beloved Great-Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Edward and Lucille Struck, brothers Donald Struck, Wayne Struck and William Struck, and sons Michael Struck and Daniel Struck.
James graduated from Carl Schurz High School, Chicago, Illinois in 1953. James spent his entire working career with Illinois Bell and was a dedicated employee until retirement from the organization.
James attended masses at the St Frances X Cabrini Church, in Parrish, FL. James loved fishing, golfing, gardening, coaching Little League, and was a huge lifelong sports fan of all the Chicago sports teams.
James Hillard Struck was a proud member of the United States Army serving from 1955 to 1957. James will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Sarasota National Cemetery located in Sarasota, FL. on November 3, 2021.
In addition, at his request a Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church 557 Lake St, Antioch, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the Parrish United Methodist Church for the Children’s Home in memory of James H. Struck.
