James 'Jj' Johnson

September 27, 1941 — August 18, 2016

James 'J.J.' Johnson, age 74, of Sarasota, passed away on August 18, 2016.  He was a loving father and a great friend to many.

He is survived by his children, son Michael and daughter Laura and Delores, mother of his children.He was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen and brother, John, Junior.

James was a former Professor of Chemistry at Manatee Junior College, pioneer of the modern LCD, nuclear safety expert and founder of J.J. Enterprises.
