Jake Allen Corby

August 25, 1989 — June 29, 2019

Jake Allen Corby, aka 'Cake' (29), died unexpectedly on June 29 at home in Bradenton.

To say he lived life to the fullest is an understatement. He was born on August 25, 1989, on Anna Maria Island, and it was a roller-coaster ride from there. His passion was to become a pilot. He loved all sports and was a great competitor in hockey, tennis, golf, you name it. He never met a stranger, whether old or young. His smile drew you in, and you knew you had a friend for life. There are not enough words to express the love he felt for everyone, nor how loved he is.

Cake will forever be remembered by so many, especially his parents, Rockey and Tammy; his grandma Sheryl; his aunts, uncles and cousins; his myriad of friends; and, most importantly: the love of his life, Kat; his first child, 'Cupcake,' who will bring us great joy when he/she arrives in December; and Cupcake's sisters, Nolyn and Lumyn.

A celebration of life will be held at The Lost Kangaroo Pub, 406 12th St. W., Bradenton, FL  34205, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Jake's memory to www.GoFundMe.com/f/we-still-have-kat-the-kids-and-a-cupcake.
