Irma Waterfield White (97) joined her savior on September 22, 2015.
Irma was born and spent her first 91 years living on Knotts Island, NC. She moved to Florida in 2008 following the death of her husband of more than 70 years, Edmond Lee White.
Irma is survived by her loving nieces Ann Twomey, Cindy Gruber, and Penny Cartwright, also she is survived many other loving neices and nephews and was known simply as “Auntie” to both family and friends. A devout Christian and lifelong member of Knotts Island United Methodist Church, Irma attended Spring Hill UMC while living there. Irma retired, after 35 years of service, from Roughton Pontiac in Norfolk Virginia. She loved playing Bingo, cards, traveling and was a Red Hat member in Currituck County, NC.
Memorial and burial services will be held at Knotts Island UMC at 3 p.m. on Saturday October 10, 2015.
