Hilda L. Knight (Van Etten)

Hilda Loretta Knight, (formerly Van Etten) of Bradenton, FL passed away on July 28, 2023.

She was born in Phoenicia, New York to Nellie and John Van Etten.

Hilda was a Manatee County School Bus Driver for over 20 years and loved every minute of it. She always said, "if you have a job you love you will never work a day in your life".

She is proceeded in death by her husband and of over 50 years, William Knight and her son, Robert Lee Knight.

Hilda is survived by her children Edward William (Fran) Knight, John (Debbie) Joseph,  Larry Knight. Peggy (Joe) Hickman,  and Joy (Chuck) Waller . Hilda also had 13 grand children 19 great grand children and 1 great great grand child.

She loved being around her family and sharing her knowledge and memories of her 96 years on this earth.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm with the Funeral Service commencing at 12:30 pm at Shannon Funeral Home, 1015 14th Street W in Bradenton.

She will be laid to rest with her husband at Mansion Memorial Park.
