Harry B. Anderson, 87, Bradenton, passed away Oct. 4, 2015.
He was born Jan. 18, 1928 in New York, NY to the late Henry and Anna (Aitken) Anderson. Harry served stateside with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict He was a graduate of New York College, Renssler Polytechnic and University of South Florida where he received two Master Degrees.
Following his college education he worked as an Electrical Engineer. Harry moved to Bradenton in the late 1970's coming from South Windsor, CT. Locally he retired from Eaton Corporation. During his career he was awarded several patents for various electrical and mechanical devices.
He was also a member of and instrumental in the start of the Faith United Church of Christ in Bradenton, where he served in various capacities at the church. He was also an Eagle Scout.
Harry was predeceased by his first wife, Joyce E. Anderson in 1993, and is survived by his second wife of 19 years, Evelyn of Bradenton, son; Mark and wife Georgeann Anderson of Lake Worth, FL, two daughters; Linda Anderson of Bradenton, Nancy and husband Tom Engelhart of Peoria, AZ, grandson, Joseph Ian Ramsey of Bradenton, and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Harry's life will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at Faith United Church of Christ, 4850 St. Road 64 E., Bradenton, with military honors by the U.S. Army. Private family committal will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either; Faith United Church of Christ, Parkinson Foundation or charity of your choice in his memory.
