Gertrude 'Trudy' S. Hendry

Gertrude S. Hendry, better known to everyone as Trudy, went home to be with her Lord on April 4, 2018, after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, A. O. Hendry, and a daughter, Beverly Kay Hendry Helton.

She was born July 8, 1930, and raised in Tampa, Florida.

Trudy raised five daughters as well as others who needed her nurturing care. As a full time homemaker and pastor's wife, she served in the ministry along side her husband and was always willing to open her home to anyone who needed a meal or a place to stay. Preacher Hendry and Trudy served Bethany Baptist Church on Highway 64, for over 30 years.
Trudy was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She will be greatly missed by everyone, but deserves her heavenly home.

Viewing will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, Highway 64 E at 2:00PM, Sunday April 8, 2018 with Funeral Services to follow at 3:00PM.
