Francisco Rivera, 75 of Bradenton, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the TideWell Hospice House in Bradenton.
He was born on November 1, 1941 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Geriberto and Josephina (Gonzalez) Rivera. Francisco was a retired machine operator for a thread manufacturer in Long Island, New York. He moved to Bradenton over 15 years ago coming from Long Island, New York and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.
Francisco was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his two sons; Jose and Luis Rivera both of Bradenton, two daughters, Carmen Rivera and Norma Casillas both of Bradenton, three sisters, Nilsa Rivera of Puerto Rico, Carmen Canino of Orlando, Florida, Gloria Rivera of Puerto Rico, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Shannon Funeral Home Town Chapel, 1015 14th Street West, Bradenton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 24, 2017 in the chapel of Shannon Funeral Home Town Chapel, 1015 14th Street West, Bradenton, with interment to follow at the Palma Sola Cemetery in Bradenton.
