Donna Lynn Vannieuwland

Parrish, FL: Donna Van Nieuwland-McMinn (nee McAteer), 66 years old, passed away peacefully at Doctors Hospital, Sarasota, FL on Wednesday January 6, 2021. She lived in Stillwater, NJ for many years before moving to Parrish, FL.

Donna was a homemaker and cared for many children in her home daycare throughout her life. She spent many years volunteering her time as a girl scout leader, PTA leader and Sunday school teacher. She most recently was a member of Sun Coast Baptist Church in Palmetto, FL as her faith was very important to her.

Donna was predeceased by her parents Rose and Edward McAteer as well as her sister Kim McAteer. Lovingly remembered by her husband Patrick McMinn of Oxford, NY, daughters and their spouses; Nicoll Spinner (Tom) of Allentown, PA, Kyla Mackenzie (Greg) of Bangor, PA, grandsons Jacob and Noah Spinner, Liam Mackenzie. Cherished sister to Robin McAteer (Debbie) of Salem, CT, Sallie McAteer of Bradenton, FL and Edward McAteer II (Jennifer) of Hardyston, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial to be held at Budd Lake First Aide and Rescue Squad on January 23, 2021 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the national kidney foundation at kidney.org.
