Donald Gary Roberts

Donald Gary Roberts, 61 of Apollo Beach, Florida, formerly of Manatee County, passed away on January 19, 2016.

Donald was born on August 23, 1954 in Bradenton, Florida to the late John Willard and Nel (Gilaird) Roberts. He grew up in Manatee County and was a graduate of Palmetto High School. Donald worked as an engineer and surveyor for ZNS Engineering in Bradenton for many years.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Judith Ann in June of 2013, and a sister, Cheri Roberts. Survived by his son, Donnie Roberts of Grovertown, Indiana, two daughters; Shannon Lewis and Katrina Nicholas both of Apollo Beach, Florida, brother, Steve Roberts of Old Town, Florida, sister, Peggy Roberts of Ft. Myers, Florida, eight grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 P.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016 with a celebration of his life to follow at 2:30 P.M. at Shannon Funeral Home Town Chapel, 1015 14th Street West, Bradenton, FL with Mr. David Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Palma Sola Cemetery in Bradenton.
