Delmer C. O’Dell, Jr., 85, Palmetto, Florida, passed away May 1, 2016.
Delmer was born on May 12, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Delmer C. Sr. and Daisy (Shields) O’Dell. He served his country faithfully during the Korean Conflict by serving with the United States Army.
Following is military service Delmer went to work for Sears and Roebuck Department Store. While working for Sears he worked as a salesman and served as several different Department Managers. He retired from Sears with over 30 years of loyal service to them. Delmer moved to Florida over 30 years ago coming from South Bend, Indiana
He was predeceased by his wife Mary K O’Dell and a brother Robert O’Dell. Survived by his two sons; Steve and his wife Tania O’Dell of Osceola, Indiana, Andrew O’Dell of Bradenton, Florida, two daughters; Sandy and her husband James Bennett of Osceola, Indiana and Sarasota, Florida, Deborah O’Dell of Bradenton, Florida, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Delmer’s life will be held at a later date at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, Indiana.
