David Patrick Seidl

David Patrick Seidl, 76, of Palmetto, Florida passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024.

David was born on October 1, 1948, in Ripon, Wisconsin and graduated from Ripon High

School. He received his bachelor's degree of Arts in Economics from Ripon College.

He commenced his military service after college with the United States Army in Hospitality

Management.

 After leaving the military with the rank of Major, he launched his career in

hospitality management working civil service for the United States Army in Hawaii. Upon

leaving Hawaii, he was on his new path with American Golf Corporation. David had a long

successful career as Senior Vice President of American Golf Country Clubs over seeing over 70

private clubs. He led the AGC operations entry into the United Kingdom market along with

playing a lead role of AGC’s entry into the Japanese market. In 2001, he left the states and

headed to England to become the Managing Director of American Golf United Kingdom. After

his role in the UK, he became President and Representative Director of Pacific Golf

Management in Tokyo Japan overseeing 133 golf courses. He loved the game of golf and he

felt fortunate to work in the industry that he loved.

David was an avid traveler, fisherman and golfer. He loved the Wisconsin Badgers and the

Green Bay Packers. He was admired and loved by everyone. He will be greatly missed.

His father James Richard Seidl and mother Patricia Campbell Seidl, preceded him in death. He

is survived by the love of his life, his wife Gloria Danner Seidl of Palmetto, FL, children; Cassidy

Hogan (Craig) of Centennial, CO, Adam Seidl (Lindsey) of Centennial, CO, Beth Russell-Stark

(Bill) of Palmetto, FL and William Russell of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren Max Hogan,

Delaney Hogan, Lyla Hogan, Lawson Seidl, Miles Seidl, Fletcher Seidl, Danner Gardner, Rachel

Stark and Kyle Stark; sisters Jennifer Beier (Jim) of Ripon, WI and Barbie Seidl of Ripon, WI;

nieces MacKenzie Ziegler, Megan Meyer and Sara Simonis; nephew Joseph Lambert. He also

leaves aunts, great nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled Wednesday, December 4,2024 at Sanctuary Cove

Clubhouse 1899 5th St E, Palmetto, FL 34221. Visitation at 11 am with the service to follow at

12 pm. Refreshments will be provided following the service. A private burial is scheduled at the

Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL.
