David Salazar Perez

David Perez Sr. known to many as don David Perez, died peacefully in his home on Friday April 23.  Our Heavenly Father and Delia, his wife of 48 years welcomed him with open arms.  Born In Katy, Texas to Faustino & Juanita S Perez, he was one of 10 children.  He left school in the 6th grade to begin helping the family in the farming community.   He married Delia Muniz on July 2, 1960 and lived in Lockney, Texas until 1965.   David and Delia and their 3 children moved to Florida and he became one of the primary Labor Contractors for the Manatee County farming communities.  He was also instrumental in the formation of a new church in which his wife, Delia, was the pastor.

He is survived by his children, Ruby L. Martinez (Aurelio, spouse)( Harlingen, Tx)  David Jr (Bradenton) Stephen (Bradenton), Elisha (wife, Denise) Palmetto, Grandson,

Adrian    Martinez(wife, Angela) Great grandchildren, Natalie Wonder(age 3) Jonathon Luca(age 18 months) and Olivia Autumn (due June 2021)  Sister Mary Contreras(Bradenton)

A special word of gratitude to Digna Torres, Ramon Velasquez and their 5 children for many years of care, love, and dedication to our dad.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 1, 2021 at 11:00am at Manatee Baptist Church 1501 7th Ave East Bradenton Fl 34208.  A dinner will be provided following the service.  The family respectfully asks that in order to keep all guests safe, you refrain from attending if you have any symptoms of illness.
