Daniel Edward Chastain

Retired CWO-3 Daniel E. Chastain 74, passed away peacefully August 26, 2023 at his Bradenton home surrounded by loved ones.

After graduating from HS, he enlisted into the US Army where he graduated from Baylor Medical School to become a Physician Assistant. Dan retired

after 20 years in the Military and then he spent another 20 years working for the Department of Justice FBOP as a Health Service Administrator.

Dan was born in Crestview Florida, to William and Thelma (Byrd) Chastain. Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy (Parard) Chastain, his brother Robert

and wife Phyllis Chastain; 3 daughters, Danielle Chastain; Jennifer Scalza; Michelle Russell; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service is Tuesday September 12, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
