Colton McQuillen

November 15, 2000 — March 13, 2025

Bradenton

Colton was born in Bradenton Florida. He attended Gene Witt Elementary, Haile Middle, and Lakewood Ranch High, and consistently made the honor roll throughout. He started working at Publix at the age of 15 as a bagger in customer service. He then moved to the grocery department for a short time, and then on the meat department. He eventually became a meat cutter. He was promoted to Meat Assistant Manager in 2022. He left Publix in the fall of 2023.

He played little league in his early years and was a wonderful musician. He played the bass cello in Middle School and High School. He also enjoyed playing the guitar. Cole was raised on the River and loved to wakeboard and fish. We spent a great deal of time on the water as a family. He had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful heart. He had a special gift for helping others and took great care of his family especially his grandparents. He was a precious gift to our family and to all that knew him. Our lives will never be the same but are so thankful for the time we had with him.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Donald and Christine Durrance, his Uncle Tom McQuillen all of Bradenton; and his cousin Daniel Perger of Monroe WI.

Colton is survived by his Mother and Father, Scott and Sharon McQuillen, brother Bryan McQuillen, sister Blair McQuillen all of Bradenton. Grandparents Tom and Lula McQuillen; Great Aunts Becky McQuillen and Rena Moore. His Aunt and Uncle Joyce and Dennis Perger; His Uncle and Aunt Donnie and Debbie Durrance; including several cousins.
