Charles Dorsey Palmer, of Bradenton, passed away on April 28, 2018.
Born to Charles H. & Louise D. Palmer on February 14, 1938.
As a young boy, he sang in the choir at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church where later married Anita Fernandez Palmer in 1964. He passed away three days short of their 54th anniversary.
They have two children, son, Eric Christopher Palmer (Claudia M. Grossi) of Albany, New York, a daughter, Christine Marie Soulia of Ballston Spa, New York and two granddaughters, Renee Marie Soulia of Plattsburgh, New York, and Jacquelyn Ann Soulia of Burlington, Vermont.
He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar New York and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York with a degree in Industrial & Labor Relations. At Cornell, he belonged to Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and sang as part of the fraternity barbershop quartet, The Huffmans, for four years.
He retired from the New York State Division of the Budget in 1999, where he worked as a Management Analyst.
His hobbies included being a New York Giants fan, following the NFL Draft with his son Eric every year, and playing duplicate bridge where he earned a Bronze Life Master.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
