Charles W. “Bill” Beamon, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at home with family at his side.
Bill is survived by his son Robert Beamon, daughter-in-law Tracy and life partner Linda Neiderhouse. He’s pre-deceased by his son Bill and daughter Kathy. .
Bill was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He joined the U.S. Navy after high school. The Navy sent him to LA Poly-Tech Institute and on to Tulane University where he graduated as a Naval Officer. Bill’s time in WWII was spent on the USS Whiteside near the China coast. Bill was proud of his WWII service. Upon discharge he trained under his father and became a pharmacist.
After a few years and 3 children, Bill decided to try sales, door to door, with Encyclopedia Britannica. He rose through the ranks until joining the home office as president. Altogether Bill spent 26 years with the company.
After living in Clearwater Beach and St Petersburg, he moved to Chattanooga Tennessee.
He always appreciated the care and respect he received from Dr. Luther Stanfield and staff at the Chattanooga Outpatient Clinic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior project.
