Charles B. Dycus, 90, Bradenton, passed away April 25, 2017

Charles was born October 9, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late Charles L. and Viola (Vaughn) Dycus.

He attended and graduated from Green High School in Greensburg, OH. He then went on to serve with the U.S. Navy and after his military service went to attend the Hamel Actual Business College in Akron.

After graduation he worked for Roadway Express and retired at the age of 57 from Roadway as the Director of Revenue Accounting. After his retirement he spent the winters in Bradenton until becoming a permanent resident many years later.

Charles was predeceased by his wife Ina in October of 2001, and 3 sisters. He is survived by his son, Charles B. Dycus, Jr. of Bradenton, three daughters; Linda Hagarty of Twinsburg, OH, Charlene Gear and Cheryl (John) Conover both of Bradenton;, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation and services will be held in Akron, Ohio under the direction of Hopkins-Laurer Funeral Home. Committal will take place at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron where he will be laid to rest next to his loving wife.
