Brigitte D. Henderson

Brigitte Deutscher Henderson was born July 27th, 1958 in Grunbach, Germany. She died on Wednesday December 4th 2019 after a two-year battle with cancer. She died in the town she lived, Bradenton Florida. She was sixty-one years old.

After immigrating to the United States in 1961 with her family, Brigitte grew up in Bedford Massachusetts. She graduated from Bedford High School, class of 1976. There she was an active member of the band and loved being a part of high school theatre. After graduation she attended Bay Path College. She thereafter worked for the family business at Form In Teak, Inc in Burlington MA.

Her greatest wish was to retire in Florida and she moved there in 2012. She had some very happy years living in her dream home near the beach on Anna Maria Island.

Brigitte was a beautiful, vibrant person. She loved the beach, the pool, and the color yellow. She grew up loving the Beatles and Elton John. She played the clarinet and the guitar. She loved listening to live music and dancing. She enjoyed quilting and for years was a part of the Chelmsford Quilters Guild. She was an avid reader, and loved historical fiction, movies, and musicals. She was a good friend and had a great laugh. She loved her two beautiful grandchildren devotedly. She loved and was proud of her own two children, Kirk and Kellie.

Brigitte leaves behind: her parents, Kurt and Marianne Deutscher of Bedford; beloved son Kirk Ryan of Methuen, beloved daughter Kellie Berry and her children Kimberly and Cora Berry of Billerica; brother Klaus Deutscher of Burlington, VT; niece Elyse, and nephews, Gregory and Kevin Deutscher; as well as a multitude of friends, some life-long and some new.

A commemoration for close family and friends will be held on Sunday January 19th at 1:00 pm. It will be held at Kurt and Marianne Deutscher’s home in Bedford MA.

A separate Memorial will be held at a later date for friends and family who reside in Florida.

Brigitte loved flowers, but in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
