Betty Jane Mclauchlin

Betty Jane McLauchlin,beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur and Margaret (Taylor) Marquardt on May 12, 1935.

Betty graduated from MacKenzie High School, Detroit, Michigan, in 1953. Betty came to Bradenton 46 years ago from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Betty lived a full life enjoying family, friends , playing bridge, reading, scrapbooking, travel, bluegrass music, and her church.  She was an accomplished pianist. Betty was employed in various businesses in Bradenton as an office manager/bookkeeper, most recently for Miller Insulation.

She is survived by her loving Husband of 63 years David McLauchlin, Son, Scott (Ping) McLauchlin, Daughter, Suzanne (Mike Amado) McLauchlin, Grandchildren, Evan, Lily,  Emily , Step granddaughter, Crystal (Nick) Kucharski of Boynton Beach and a Step great-grandson, Cannon.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Margaret Marquardt and son Mark McLauchlin.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed.

A  Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Sat. March 10, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church 4635  26th Street W Bradenton, FL.
