Barbara Ann (Cairns) Weymans passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 93. She was born on November 17, 1931, in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Frank and Cecelia Cairns and grew up in Andover, Massachusetts.
Throughout her life, Barbara embraced various roles with dedication and passion. As a homemaker, she created a warm and loving environment for her family. Her commitment extended beyond her home; before moving to Bradenton from Manchester, NH in 1979, Barbara was active in many community activities and was involved in forming the Manchester Policeman’s Wives Association where she served as President. Upon moving to Bradenton she was employed at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Nursing Administration until moving to Phoenix, Arizona as an administrative assistant to the President of Baptist Healthcare Systems for several years, then returned to Manatee Memorial Hospital as administrative assistant to the Vice President of Nursing until her retirement. Barbara had a keen eye for interior decorating, be it rearranging furniture and curtains, while finding joy in transforming spaces with beauty and style. She also enjoyed writing poetry and traveling. Her sense of humor and love for fun brought light and laughter to all who knew her.
Barbara was a devoted mother and friend to all. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Roger A Weymans Sr and is also preceded in death by her parents Frank and Cecelia Cairns and sisters, Janice and Shirley. She is survived by her children: Michelle of Bradenton, Roger Jr of Daytona Beach Shores, David of Plantation, Florida, Steven and his partner Sally Zickel of Bradenton Florida. Barbara also leaves behind many nephews and nieces.
Barbara Weymans will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family and friends, as well as her vibrant personality that enriched the lives of many.
A private family service will be held to honor Barbara's life and legacy at a later date
