Mary Evelyn Whitehead

Mary Evelyn Whitehead departed from this life to be home with Jesus on April 29th 2016.  She was 85 years old.  Born in DeLand Florida, she was a lifelong resident of Bradenton and Anna Maria Island.

She graduated from Florida Southern University and taught first grade for three years at Ballard Elementary. She was always a devoted, loving and caring wife to her husband, children, grandchildren and everyone she met. She owned a shell gift shop in Holmes Beach where she was able to do what she felt was the most important thing in life; share with others the love and saving grace of knowing Jesus as their Lord and Savior and what he had done in her life.

Mary is survived by: husband Bob Whitehead, sister Joanne, son Brent (Kendra) Whitehead , daughter Cindy (Harry) Peterson .

She is also survived by six grandchild: Faith Mejia-Walker, Anna Smith, Jacob Peterson, Jared Whitehead, Karys Mawyer, Brianne Barnett and great grandchild Lily Whitehead

Private family services were held at Palma Sola Cemetery in Bradenton.
